PASTOR HECTOR
Pastor Hector Rivera, is truly a man after God’s own heart. This servant of the Lord truly walks in the love of God. He has a heart for the lost and shepherding his sheep.
Coming from the streets, Hector was well acquainted with the street life — selling drugs, addicted to drugs, alcohol, and in a gang. But God.
When Hector finally waved the white flag in surrender to Jesus, God took Hector from the streets and turned him into a wonderful man after God’s own heart.
Even looking at pictures from Hector 20 years ago and now, you can truly see the transformation power of the Holy Spirit transforming Hector more into the image of Christ Jesus. This process is what is called “sanctification.”
God is using Pastor Hector’s natural leadership and friendly gifts to draw people to God and revealing to them the love of Christ through this ministry and his life.
Pastor Hector’s heart cry and desire is to not only to nourish and guide the sheep under his care, but he desires to make disciples (dedicated followers) of Jesus, teaching them to observe all of the things Jesus has commanded us to do. Especially what comes first, “love one another as Jesus has loved us.”
Hector, once broken from the street life, has now been healed by the compassionate heart of Jesus is ready to share that same compassion with the lost and broken leading them to the love of Christ and walking in the divine life that God has called us to.
Not only did this Evangelist, that was moved into the office of the Pastor, get called to serve God as a leader in the Church, his entire family now serves God.
